"The room was a great size, property was nice and quiet (April 2). Access to the waterpark is wonderful. My only recommendation is for late arrival check-in process to be easier. I was a guest off-season so I understand staffing, svcs, etc. are reduced (official check-in is a two hour window, 5p-7p). "

"We got to the chateau late in the afternoon. When we arrived Jeremy was very amicable and helped us with our luggage and explanation on how to enter the chateau. Emmanuelle gave us some very good restaurant suggestions near by to the chateau. It was such a great and unique experience spending the night at the chateau. We were given the Master room with the adjoining room for our son to sleep in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great! We got to walk the grounds for an evening stroll. The next day, breakfast was excellent. Felt like royalty for a day! "

Romantic suite is very spacious & beautiful, the property is VERY unique, very very old/historic/ rustic chateau - loved their doggies, and sweet donkey too ! Merci !!! "Booked and paid in JANUARY. Arrived 16:00 (check-in allegedly from 14:00). Place was locked; could not make anyone hear us. Waited 30 minutes before finding another hotel. Had also booked dinner but the sign outside said the restaurant was closed on Tuesday (the day of our stay). Contacted hotels.com to request full refund - this was apparently refused by the hotel (though hotels.com personnel said they couldn’t really communicate with hotel very well as the staff there only spoke French. Er… it’s a French hotel!!!). Eventually given £25 in award points - well under half what we had paid five months earlier! VERY unhappy with the whole situation!"
