"Had a very nice 2-night stay at Loch Long Hotel with my daughter and grandson. On arrival the reception area is very bright, modern and welcoming. The man on reception is extremely polite. After reading some really negative reviews I wasn't expecting much but was more than pleasantly surprised by how nice it actually is. We stayed in the family room, which is small but adequately eqipped with a double and single bed and bath. The room was lovely and warm,bedding was very clean and the hot water was perfect. Plenty tea/coffee and toiletries. I used the free hot tub and sauna which was fantastic. The food was superb at each meal for all three of us. Considering that this is a budget hotel with a budget price it gave excellent value for money. Entertainment in the lounge was also excellent. We will definitely return here "

The owners are wonderful people who prepared a 5-star breakfast for our family and complemented it with friendly conversation. "Overall, poor standard of accommodation for £140 per night. Cleanliness and maintenance standards were very low. Had to ask for a move of room as couldnt even open the windows in our room. 2nd room was marginally better, st least we could get some fresh air!"
