"We had a king suite, and it was super large! We really enjoyed the size of it. There was a beautiful fireplace, but I wish the appliances were larger and had a freezer instead. We had a jacuzzi, but never used it. The breakfast had many choices, and was done well. The location was good, in that there was a Dollar General Store in the same parking lot."

"The Amsterdam Castle is one of the most unusual and interesting places where we have stayed. The owners have designed it down to every little detail with period pictures and antique furniture. Our beautiful room had every modern amenity that we could’ve wished for yet maintained the old-fashioned charm. We look forward to staying there again."

"The Stockade Inn is beautiful! The location is great. I walked everywhere. Parking lot behind the Inn was nice. My room was large and lots of space, although no luggage rack, so I place my suitcase open-faced on the bed, so I didn't have to get on my hands and knees. There was plenty of closet space and lots of room for me to hang up my clothes. Large bathroom, although limited counter space for toothbrush, etc. No water came out when I tried to turn on the hot water faucet in my room that night. Washed my face in very cold water and when I tried to wash my hands the following day. Still no water. NO coffee provided. I was up at 5AM (grateful that the hot water worked in the shower). I walked around the neighborhood for over an hour searching for coffee. Nothing was open before 8AM? Even Super 8 provides coffee. I talked with the HBO crew that was there filing "Guilded Age" and they were looking for coffee, as well. When I was driving out of the parking lot, the guys were all asking me if I finally found a coffee shop that was open. Crazy."
