"My husband, our dog Max, and I travel I-95 from Virginia to Florida 3-5 times a year. Along the route we often find dog-friendly hotels and dog-designated rooms are often a little “doggie”—that is smelly, not as clean as we’d like, and often in need of updating 😵‍💫 This is the case across reputable mid-range brands, in part, because of high volume along I-95. Over the past couple of years we’ve found the TRU hotel brand and have been impressed. The nice new TRU just off I-95 in Lumberton is an excellent example! It is light, spacious, and well maintained. It is right off the highway and it a convenient stop because of other nearby grocery and pharmacy shopping, dining, gas, etc."
