beach in minutes. Property is definitely dated. But, effort has clearly been made to improve it. New balcony had been installed. Appeared to have newer paint, linens, and appliances. Property was perfectly clean when we arrived. My complaints are minor, and most didnt effect our stay in too negative of a way. The door lock on dishwasher would not latch, so couldnt use dishwasher. (Simple fix, but i didnt have any tools and im on vacation). ...

"The place was nice. Lots of pools and hot tubs. The heated pool could have been set to a slightly warmer temperature, but we still had fun. The staff was helpful and most of them were friendly. My biggest complaint was the inconvenient parking area across the street and the loading zone at the hotel was not an easy drive through like most resorts I’ve stayed at. The town of North Myrtle is nice and well kept. The beaches were very clean at Avista. "

"The door code didn’t work - had to get a new one from them. None of the TVs worked. The phone didn’t work. There was broken glass on the floor in the living room and Main bedroom that 4/10 of us got in our feet and bled everywhere, And they made several fraudulent charges to my card. The parking tags were expired so they clearly have terrible room service. Two of the beds had stained up bedding. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere nicer."
