Superb hotel and treatments but poor service upfront in the email on line booking - fortunately on arrival by having to escalate everything we got our special meal and spa -but don't know why the "total guest service" agents failed before then by neither responding nor booking what we asked for"

"Set in a beautiful location, the buildings and grounds are stunning. We had a standard room which was perfect for our needs, comfortable bed, lots of room. Couldn’t fault. Valkenburg is a very pleasant 30 minute walk through the neighbouring nature reserve."

"We found the room clean and comfortable although the heating/cooling unit in the room slightly noisy. An additional electric portable radiator was available in the room which maybe was there due to this issue. Staff very friendly and helpful. Using the railway station parking was only 7€ a day and only across the road so a better price than the on site price. The bar a great selection of wines as per the theme but also local beers and the normal selection of spirits."

"Had a really lovely stay, comfortable, quiet, relaxing. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient. They made an effort to speak our own language the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Only area for improvement would be a separate shower bathroom, as it was a wet room shower over the toilet. Would definitely recommend. "
