"The area around the property was really beautiful. Several things to do, we went to the monkey show which was interesting and to Edo Wonderland, which was very cool. However, this hotel is very old and needs to be updated. The outdoor bath was nice."

"We had a wonderful time at Kinugawa Onsen. The traditional Japanese rooms were wonderful and the breakfast and dinner buffet were wonderful. We also enjoyed the public baths, karaoke rooms, and reflexology massage. The gift shop was also lovely stocked. The views of the mountains and river from the rooms and floors were wonderful. Highly recommend if you want some low key, nature retreat from your visit to Japan."

"Really enjoyed this place, the room was more than sufficient for a family of 4, had all the amenities in it for a longer stay if it was required, not to mention the open air private onsen/bath was perfect after a days walking. There was a lot to see locally all in walking distance, cafes near by, otherwise the train station is close enough to use to get around on. Will definitely look at using this accommodation again if I find myself back in Japan around Nikko!"

"A wonderful experience. They made our first visit to the area a wonderful experience. The large onsen was just what our group needed after hiking and walking all day in Nikko. We all slept amazing. Quiet, clean and excellent service from the staff. Highly recommended."

"設備が古く所々で問題ありそうですが、(当日は食堂の天井から水漏れしてました)そこはまぁ良いかなと スタッフの方は外国の方が多いですが、皆さん、丁寧で良かったと思います 楽しみにしていた貸切風呂は入れなかったので、そこは残念でした 15:00から貸切風呂の受付が始まるようですが、15:15頃にチェックインした時には満員でした どうやら前日から宿泊されていた方々が枠を全て埋めたようでした"

"Good size rooms, booked for 2 but enough for 6 people sleeping. We stayed in South building which is old and tired. But for the price included breakfast and dinner which is very good value. Loved it. Used the private onsen in hotel for free which is amazing. "

"The room was a little dirty. Lots of dust all over the room. No hot water in the bathroom. Only provide one towel for your trip. There’s a public bathing area downstairs. The onsen was nice. Doesn’t seem like this hotel was renovated in a while. They also only accept cash at the front desk. "
