"We stayed in Pito Hotel of Hon Thom Island for 25-28dec. The hotel opened only for two months. All facilities were clean and new. It was great that we were offered free cable-car and free entry of Nature Park / Water Park every day. However, there was no store/restaurant open after 4pm. So we could only eat bread/cup-noodles for dinner. This is very ridiculous to visitors. The SunWorld should at least open one store and one restaurant near hotel area at evening time. Frequently used the gym as well, so that was a lovely bonus. They even picked us up from our first hotel stay on the island and drove us to the airport when we were leaving. "A newer hotel just 10 minute walk to where the nightly fireworks are staged. The breakfast that was included was at another Lotus hotel, just a 5 minute walk but they also provided a golf cart ride there. The breakfast had about 10 choicest, which was good, but no coffee etc included, just a glass of water. The staff were nice and helpful knew some English. When we booked it included 2 tickets on the cable car to the island with the water park. So a huge saving on the price. A great deal."

What was not so great it the area itself is dead, there is no vibe or atmosphere. 95% of the buildings remain empty so if you like a little hustle bustle and a more authentic experience only stay here 1 or 2 nights max.
