My family of 11 stayed at El Ben Cabanas from 2/18-2/25 and we had the most amazing stay and experience. The property is immaculate, the staff is incredible and accommodating (Harold and Merli were so wonderful), and the restaurant on-site served delicious food, consistently. While the property is on the north part of Caye Caulker, it was easy to walk south of the property to the split to take the ferry to the south. I was really impressed by how clean and well stocked this hotel was. It looks better in person that in the photographs! My room had everything I needed, it was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The AC worked well and I appreciated the location. It was close to everything , including dining options, but was on the towards the end so it was quite and I was able to sleep. The room is in a perfect location. It is in front of the Sip n Dip and the Split. Location is perfect. It’s not loud and beautiful view of sunrise. Room is smaller than expected but it worked for a party of 3 adults. The pool was out due to an unexpected situation but the front desk manager offered us pool access to sister hotel. So no problem and also offered a complementary taxi ride to water taxi terminal when leaving. We appreciated that. We rented a golf cart (must) and easy to park outside...
Best darn vacation I've had in years, and I travel amost every month! This was a kick your shoes off relax and just do nothing but enjoy the sun, sea and birds. Can't forget the birds. I've not enjoyed just BEING somewhere so much except for when I'm in Hawaii staying at my friend's house doing nothing. The water here is clearer and warmer than Hawaii!

I loved staying here! It was a great location on Caye Caulker, right in the heart of where you want to be as a tourist. It was also directly across from Ice & Beans which quickly became my favorite spot for a smoothie and coffee with breakfast. The room was very clean and the AC was so nice to have in the July heat. I’ve stayed at Barefoot a few times now and every time I know I can count on extraordinary cleanliness of the rooms and hotel. The staff is friendly. The bar in the main floor that operates at night is great and I would stay here again. 10/10.
I enjoyed my stay here with my girlfriend. They were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was very clean and convenient to everything. The only complaints I had were no microwave in the room, no tv service unless you used your own code, and no working elevators but after checking out several other hotels in the area they had no working elevators either, but they did help me out by putting me on the 2nd floor. GREAT LOCATION. It’s perfectly in the middle of the hustle and bustle area of the island so it’s a short walk to all the popping areas. Lovely balcony view and lovely rooftop area. Incredible value for the price and will highly recommend. Bathrooms are clean, rooms are clean and the employees and service workers are EXTREMELY kind.
If you want a more local experience with welcoming hosts oryginaly from Caye Caulker, colorful housing and a patio full of tropical plants, with a spece where you can have a morning coffee Belize Sea Reef Inn is the spot.
Off the beaten path, beautiful property. Very clean! Pleasant and helpful property owners! Gave me tips that helped me better utilize my time on the island. Offering bikes to navigate the island with was very convenient.
This was my second time staying at The Anchorage Resort. Other than property managers nothing has changed. Yes, it’s an older hotel but it has everything you need. King size beds, air conditioning, hot shower, mini fridge, and it’s clean. I especially like that it’s away from all of the party noise down on the Main Street area. I have nothing negative to share about either of my stays at The Anchorage Resort.
Owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Our Tower Room was huge, very comfortable king bed and comfy futon. Full kitchen. We liked the fact that we were a little bit out of the noise of town. We had a golf cart (helpful because it rained ALOT!) but they supply bikes and it is not a long walk to town. Their little restaurant is very good! Very pleasant stay…we would recommend staying at Seremei Villas!!ll
