The view was stunning! The staff very helpful. The ones working in the kitchen, need to be rewarded for their kindness and their hard work! I would highly recommend this hotel to stay in!

Great place to stay, professional staff and geeat surroundings

From the clean hotel room to the delicious breakfast buffet, our time there was fantastic. The staff there are extremely accommodating and we appreciated the hospitality. Would definitely book again!

The room was spacious and clean. The staff made us feel like we were staying with family or good friends. The owner came over to speak with us and told us about the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were wonderful. And the location was beautiful. We would definitely stay there again.

This place takes you back in time, with all the charm of the old days combined with the functionality of modern times. Excellent service, amazing food, super pet-friendly, and a perfect location—ideal for visiting Salzburg or simply enjoying the peace of nature!

Nice modern hotel which once an insurance company. So you have the feel of staying in an historic hotels with modern amenities.

Beautiful property. Awesome location. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff great too. We had a problem with our first room. They tried to fix the tv and couldn’t, so they moved us to an upgraded room. However, when we got to that room- immediately we can hear the toilet running. So we say thanks but no. Emma, at reception, was fantastic. She was really busy with other customers- but she managed to get us another room. Guess what- no internet… it’s an old building with lots of stucco. I am tired and...

Such a lovely hotel with amazing views! Owner greeted me and made me feel at home.

I have stayed at the Goldener Hirsch for the past 30 years The hotel and its staff never fail. Charming and comfortable, it is located in the midst of an active tourist area but absolutely quiet inside and completely safe outside. The staff listen carefully and exceed every request. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salzburg.

Everything was wonderful! I stayed for two nights and wish I could have stayed longer. The front desk staff was so helpful and the hotel was lovely. Perfect location and so close to public transit. The views of the fortress were amazing as well. Thank you!

Located on a square, directly opposite Mozart's house, this graceful and gracious hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. It is within sight of the pedestrian bridge (the "locks bridge") across the river to the old town center. Our junior suite was large and well decorated, with a wonderfully spacious bath. Mirror everywhere. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is a feast and included with the room. Irresistible pastries, abundant and delicious cheeses, slices of ham, prosciutto, turkey...

Hotel is very nice. 25 minute walk from the old city. Had problems the first night with the AC but these were resolved the second evening. Excellent breakfast. Would stay here again.

There is nothing I didn't like except for probably a weirdly working AC, that allowed for a very limited range of temperatures to be set. The definite and GREAT positive is the location within walking distance to all major places to see.

Room was perfect and staff very helpful with car parking on arrival.

Awesome location if you’re traveling by train. You can walk from there to the center, the hotel is very clean. We even had a Mozart chocolate ball on outlr pillow!
