This is a beautiful peaceful forest resort nestled in a rural forest like area not too far from Sigiriya fort, Dambulla cave temple and Minneriya national park, which were the three attractions we saw in the area. The resort has a great spread of both international and local options breakfast and dinner buffet on weekdays and lunch buffet too on Fridays and Saturdays. A la carte menu is limited but sufficient and we'll prepared.

Of all of the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, we most enjoyed our time here. The staff, service, facilities, and food were wonderful. This is an oasis and a fantastic place to stay during your visit to Sigiriya. Check out time is 12:00, which is perfect for an early morning climb in Sigiriya with a delicious breakfast and swim in the pool to relax before moving on.

This property is pretty unique in its location, away from "the rest of the world". You really are in nature, surrounded by nothing else than rice paddies, lake, and such a variety of birds. It is peaceful, staff are very friendly and helpful, food is excellent and will accommodate vegetarian and gluten free needs. There is nothing I can fault our experience on!
The property was set just about 2mins from the main highway, making it very quiet. We loved that we couldn't hear any vehicles at all.
The property was filled with lots of trees and we could hear and see peacocks many times during the day freely roaming around.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are good to very good. The pool is wonderful and the grounds well kept.
Beware the guides and venders and Tuc tuc drivers at Sigiriya Rock. They will overcharge dramatically if allowed. You need to be good at bargaining in Sri Lanka. (Which I am not but learning quick). Agree on price in advance. Ask hotel manager or staff for help. Don't be afraid to use the bus. I found it fun to ride and easy to catch and a super bargain.
The staff and management is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were subpar but clean enough. No aircon which was fine but no hot water either. The showers were non functional and no buckets were provided till requested. The property is isolated and tough to find. However for the price and for someone seeking a secluded no frills stay with kind and helpful staff I recommend the hotel.

Sudu Araliya is located on the banks of the Parakrama Samudraya. It’s extensive gardens offer a peaceful place for relaxation. There is a very nice and sturdy tree house with a couple of benches and tables. A lovely place for children to play and adults to relax. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean.
