"This hotel was excellent. The front desk people are wonderful. The facilities are great. The rooms are very nice. Not huge, but adequate and nice. The restaurant and its staff are superb. We couldn’t ask for a better restaurant. Breakfast buffet was great. The location was great. Right in the center of Old Quarter Hanoi. Walk to everything. Watch for scooters. This hotel is a blast from the past with its yesteryear charm. We loved our stay there. The only improvement I’d make would be to clean the pool and get new beds. The beds are very hard. Would I let those things keep me from staying? No way. We’d stay there again for sure. There’s no gym, but there sister hotel 5 minute walk away has a good one. We loved this hotel. The staff there were all great. "

"Excellent hotel. We came back for another night when we had to be in Hanoi. Staff and cleanliness is 5 star. Restaurant is awesome and the waiting staff are well trained. The receptionists (all) were amazing. They answered most of our questions and concerns. The hotel is in a busy area, so vigilance is required when walking as there are too many scooters. Looking for a good street food? you are right at the heart of it. The walk to the french 1/4 is about a 20-30 min, but we enjoy walking so that was not an issue for us. "

"Even before arrival the service was excellent (through emails). Staff were amazing from start to finish and the food/hotel were great. On available we met with Grace at reception who organised small refreshments after our travels. She advised the must sees while in Hanoi. The room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was great, good power. Would definitely recommend this hotel based on the above. We loved it. Also had help from the in house travel agent Jenny with booking a cruise in ha long bay. She was great. It was our first time in Vietnam and within the short time of our arrival we already loved it and knew we’d be back. "
