"This is a wonderful place to stay! My family and I loveeeee staying at the Appomattox Inn!!! The breakfast is complimentary, but it could be a little better. I really do not appreciate throwing away food. But. If you cannot eat or the ingredients are not authentic, then what are you to do? My family and I were among the first guests to stay there when it opened, and have stayed at least twice a year since. However, the mattresses need to be either flipped or replaced, and the shower heads are way too high!!!! We hate the barn doors to the bathroom, but with all of that, we are still satisfied."

"Cabins are more spacious inside than they appear. Very clean throughout, and the bed was super comfortable. Cute decor and nice shower/tub combo with good water pressure and hot water. Cabin # 2's deck is visible to Cabin # 3 and vice versa if sitting on the deck, but it was otherwise very private and peaceful. You could walk to Devil's Backbone and are within a 1-5 minute drive to DB, Blue Toad, Bold Rock, Three Notch'd, and many other breweries, cideries, wineries, and restaurants. Cannot beat the location! Easy self-check-in/out, good signage, and easy to find. We stayed 1 night, so we didn't need a microwave, but could see where this would be an amenity to be desired in the unit itself if staying longer. There is a microwave in the shared lodge, so if you need access to one frequently, then I would recommend staying in unit # 7-10 as it is a closer and easier walk to get to. Also, the tubs are deep and require a larger step in/out, so I would suggest one of the units that has the walk-in shower if you have mobility issues. I believe 2 units are more mobility accessible. I would recommend this property to family and friends and will return when visiting the area again. Great stay!"

"Great hotel..room themselves were quiet except the idiots being loud in the hallway at midnight Even though they state they are on-duty 24x7 if you plan on leaving early in the morning be prepared to wait. No one was at the front desk or the whole hotel for 10-15 minutes seriously thought I was going to have to call the cops. Anyways, avoid staying in the rooms on the valet side..traffic is kind of noisey all night. Steakhouse in the hotel is pricey but a choice."

"The home was beautiful and amazing. The home was also surprisingly quiet considering the age and style. No creaks or settling. We couldn’t even hear our neighbors next door. The continental breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly/helpful. So much better than getting a hotel."

"The Craddock-Terry is a beautiful hotel created as a high-end renovation of a historic shoe factory. Our room had a view only of the parking lot, but was very comfortable. One surprise was the shoe-box breakfast, which should be a nice amenity given that our room was almost $300/night after taxes. Instead we got a supermarket yogurt, an orange juice, two highly processed muffins wrapped in plastic, and two apples. All would be fine for your standard highway exit motel, but out of character here."
