"The room was great. The a/c worked great, the beds & bedding were so comfortable, the Dove products were wonderful and I may be changing to them, the full size refrigerator was a surprise, hooks to hang things…it was a great experience. We did not use the maid service while there. The gym was nice, the salt water pool was an added surprise and the hot tub was wonderful. The morning breakfast was great!! A nice choice of items and the support staff was tremendous; friendly and accommodating. They constantly replenished the items including the lemon water and the coffee machine which ground your beans for each cup. The parking was plentiful. We had a number of basketball teams and a band staying while we were there. They all came on busses but there still was plenty of parking. I picked the staff for last because they were exceptionally welcoming and just so helpful. Phone calls to the site through the 800 # were a little challenging not being a live person. Once I got through to Cathy to inform them of our late arrival, she went above and beyond to assure me that my room would be waiting. The front desk staff were engaging and just down right fun. If you need a suggestion, the only thing I could say was possibly put something on the shower floor to eliminate the slippery nature when wet with water and soap. I threw a hand towel down so we wouldn’t slip. I almost forgot, they had Easter decorations all around which made it a little more homey. Thank you. "

"Regular double room was super clean and spacious. Great amenities for the price. Breakfast was average contential but was great. Wish they had more than half and half for coffee creamer, and if that's my only complaint, then I can't really complain. It was just a quick in and out one night stay for us, it made me wish we had restructured our road trip to spend a longer day there to enjoy the hot tub and pool on the water."

"Overall pleased, and would stay there again. But as I suspect many other people have mentioned, parking is a problem if you have more than one car or a trailer. If you do, you will probably need to find someplace else to park it, and at your expense. And ironically, they have floating boat docks that are free to use for paid hotel guests, but if you tow your boat or canoes or kayaks or jet skis to this location, you will need to pay $25 a day to Pete’s Pier and Marina to store them in the grassy lot behind the motor lodge. The lodge staff is reasonable when it comes to pulling in with your trailer to load and unload things from your vehicle or boat to your room, but they’re pretty quick to tell you that you have to move the trailer if you are not loading and unloading. I’m pretty sure the $25 fee to park in the grassy lot includes the daily fee to use the boat ramp at Pete’s Pier and park there too, and I believe they charge $20 a day for just that even if you’re not staying at the Kings Bay Lodge. So if you plan to use their ramp every day and park over there every day, I guess you could say it only cost you an extra five dollars to park in the grassy lot per day. On the other hand, if you’re at the Lodge for a week or more and you only plan to use the ramp at Pete’s Pier on your first and last days, then yeah, you’re paying $25 a day to park in a grass lot most if the days. But in the end, the total cost including the parking charge was reasonable. "
