After complaining we were upgraded to the largest room in the hotel which is what we thought we would get in the first place. "Had a lovely short stay at Auberge Basque. We took a garden room which was very cute and well decorated. The only downside was it was next to the carpark and road which was noisy and you could only have natural air by opening the back doors - We didn't want to use the air con so at night the room was a bit hot. The 6 course tasting menu was fantastic with some very interesting flavour mixes!"

Although we had a bit of a problem checking-in, he more than made up for our inconvenience with his conscientious, affable and charming personality. Hotel Les Goelands is a lovingly operated family business that has been in existence for 90 years.
