My husband and I have been fortunate to stay in many of the best hotels, both large and small, in the world. Borgo Santo Pietro has now seized the "top spot", surpassing our former favorite on the Amalfi coast. No detail has been missed. GREAT PLACE

Nicest hotel that we stayed at in Italy. Exceptional service and they strive to be upscale and deliver. Impeccable views, grounds, rooms, and restaurant. Almost felt too nice to be true-- blend of older style with new updates. A bit Disney-fied in feel that it seems to cater to mostly Americans and few locals. However, this means no hassles, broken fixtures, etc. (but it is a very different feel like a California spa vs. an old Italy village hotel). Only minor note is that it is a bit removed...

We really enjoyed our stay. Sassofortino has two excellent restaurants within walking distance(DaMomos we ate at many times) and Follonica beach is quite close. The staff is amazing and helpful. The scenery is breathtaking. The owner is very accommodating to your needs. we can not wait for our next vacation here.

unbelievably good everything. only location is not up to par....in the middle of nowhere - far from relevant towns. that said, everything else is a dream.

The entire property was unique and beautiful which was directly due to the beautiful couple that run the property!

The breakfast was quite varied, ample selection and very tasty. Coffee and juice was fresh. Service was also good. We had dinner there one night and it was also very good and a solid wine selection. Stained here at the end of an eight day trip around Italy. This hotel was head and shoulders above the others I visited, it is a boutique hotel of seven rooms. Our room was a suite. It was bigger than many apartments, with a large living room with daybed, a beautiful master bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower with jets overhead as well as side jets, ample closet storage, fridge, and safe. Lovely place! Beautiful grounds and buildings. The kindest and most welcoming owners. Very delicious array of homemade pastries, breads, and other breakfast items.

Everything was a dream

The hotel is set in a wonderful location and everyone working here is so kind. Our room overlooked Siena and the view was stunning. Our breakfast each morning was delicious as well. We would stay here again for sure.

This hotel was fantastic! A gem, off the beaten path. Plenty of space and quiet accompanied by crisp fresh air. The restaurant in the hotel lobby was delicious and affordable. I hope to return here.

This hotel is well situated for all the major attractions and venues in the area south of Florence. We enjoyed the property and breakfast was excellent!
