Hotels in Ednor Gardens - Lakeside

"Upon arriving, there was no one at the front desk for 10 minutes. When she arrived, I had to acknowledge her first which put me off considering no one was there. But, I let it slide. Then, I was told there were no King rooms available which I had booked (I was there at 3pm). I could sense they were running behind, which in this day I understand to an extent. We did get our room which was clean and ready, but there were no toiletries in the room and our “soap” was a shampoo bottle by the sink. The plug in (USB) on my side of the bed wasn’t working. All of these things seem minor, but paired with the lack of customer service from the beginning- it isn’t a very friendly or welcoming place to stay. Staff appears that they don’t like their jobs and while they may be true, patrons shouldn’t feel that when they walk in. I usually have a great experience with IHG and am a member, and this property fell short of that. The bed was OK- not the best but not the worst. We skipped breakfast because there are plenty of places around the hotel to go. Likely won’t return to this property- it has potential, but the service was below average. "

"We weren’t able to check in until 6pm. We were able to go to the pool while we waited. But there were no towels. The people we dealt with were very professional. But it was still disappointing "

"Hotel was nice. Staff was very friendly., My only complaint no microwaves in the room. There should be an age limit for kids being in the Jacuzzi., too many little kids, trying to get in the Jacuzzi heart to relax. Staff was accommodating "

"Linens are not great quality. They were working on plumbing and had no water - at all - by the time I checked out. They pointed to a hand written sign that was at check in the night before when I arrived exhausted from travel. "

"The breakfast only included instant coffee. I have never stayed at a hotel that did not offer brewed coffee with breakfast. The juice machine dispensed warm, soured juice. This left no drink for breakfast, as I can not drink milk. The staff was corpus in person. However, over the phone the staff is short and rude. This is not a hotel I can see myself using again. "

"My room had a bug a stink bug and the heat did not work properly. The room was dusty and small not the cleanest. They make you pay a $100 security deposit which none of the guest seem aware of. I paid $44 for breakfast and it was not breakfast at all a coffee cake , tea, coffee, or juice. My daughter wanted breakfast made and was going to pay. My daughter is 13 the lady ignored her the whole time and made an entire family breakfast. Not the best experience in a hotel it was convent because it’s across the street from Wegmans. "

"Elevator call buttons did not work whole time we were there. We had to ask an employee to send us up, no problem going down, but needed assistance going up every time. Very nice staff, available at desk 24/7. "
