Great location and services. Helpful friendly staff. Modern and clean. Right on the lake and close to the old town with a lot of restaurants. Quiet and relaxing holiday!
My 5 day stay was ideal for what I needed. Peace, Quiet, and close to nature. I started each morning with a jog down the lake before breakfast. The restaurant was the best food I ate in Europe. The converted early 1900's barn was a touch of old Germany that really added to my trip, which up until this point I had been staying at typical American style hotels. If you are looking for a getaway for serenity, relaxation and a little exercise - this is the place.
The hotel was located conveniently for access into Mûritz National Park, especially by bicycle. The restaurant at the hotel had an excellent dinner. I was surprised when they did not give me the two story room, with the balcony, that I reserved and paid for. They also asked me to pay for my room a second time. They gave me a less roomy one story room, with no refund for the difference. I don’t know if these problems were caused by Expedia or the hotel, but it was a little unsettling.
We visited friends nearby and were very pleased to find this beautiful Schloss-Hotel for us to stay in - which was away from the vacation apartment they were staying in! Even though we stayed in a newer adjoining wing of the hotel we were able to enjoy the beauty of the restored Schloss. The grounds and hotel itself were impeccable.
