Overall a great experience during couple of days stay at the location. Fine dining and great amenities helped my stay very comfortable. Will visit with my family again next year.
Large bathroom with good shower . Very clean room close to eateries and attractions but in a quiet area for a good night’s sleep . Staff helped with securing a driver for sightseeing and transportation. I would stay again next time I go back to Dharamsala.
My wife and I along with two friends stayed here in our trip to Dharamsala. We selected this hotel based off of the pictures on-line and glad we did. We arrived at about 5:30AM with no lights on, front gate locked and no sign of any staff. We were afraid we would be sitting on the front porch until someone showed up later in the morning. We ended up walking around a bit and one of the staff heard us, got out of bed and checked us in. He asked us what time we wanted breakfast and let us freshen...
The folks at the New Serkong House provided us with a warm welcome and peaceful stay before and after our 10 days at Tushita Meditation Center. We were grateful for their hospitality and appreciated their assistance and advice.
We especially enjoyed having a beverage on their cafe’s open balcony overlooking the valley as eagles soared by and the sun set over the mountains.
Stayed at this hotel on Temple Road, McLeod Ganj in January end 2026 and honestly had a very nice experience. Food was really good. The balcony view was amazing — you can see Dharamshala and snow-covered mountains, which felt super peaceful.
The place is calm and quiet but still very close to the main square and Dalai Lama Temple, so location is perfect.
Mrs Sonia at the reception was very welcoming and kind, made us feel comfortable right from the start.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating
Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant and helped us get it our car even in the rain they brought once with the umbrellas including the front desk staff the manager came all the way to the car to see us off very clean and amazing view
The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is really good and conveniently located. The location is ideal. An d there is a yoga school on site with daily classes. The spa is also on site and offers outstanding massages. It should be noted, however, that there is some construction happening on site and there are some guests that keep very late hours and can create a disturbance for those sleeping. Overall an excellent experience and I will return.
