"(Hostel in Portbou) A basic hostel. 3/5. The room was quite tidy. There were hairs in the shared wc+shower, otherwise quite tidy. The beds were ok (springmadrass), the beddings were quite sheer and had quite strong smell (due to washing powder?). The walls let through all noises from outside and other rooms. The room&house had a stale smell. The receptionists spoke rather good english. The breakfast included 2 toasts, croissant and warm drink."

"We really enjoyed our stay the Hotel le Catalan. It is a beautiful hotel up on a hill with magnificent views of the lovely town and sea. The front desk employee Valerie was delightful and very helpful. She was very patient with my high school level French so I got to practice it. The rooms with sea views are spectacular. The restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. It's also a 15 minute walk down some small streets and stairs to the beautiful town center. All in all a delightful stay."

"This is my third visit and it remains excellent. The location is good with access to beaches close by but still enjoy the village life the most. Markets twice a week. Collioure and Perpignan are minutes away via train or car. Breakfasts are a must, beds and bedding are excellent, facilities very good. Spacious rooms and an all around pleasant stay. The hosts are the best. Will keep on coming here...John H"

"The hotel is quiet despite being on a main road. We did not hear the other guests yet it was quite full. The roof terrace with the swimming pool was spectacular, getting the sun for longer than the beaches around here being high up. A great place to start our holiday."

"A lovely comfortable stay at the Hotel Mandeloc. The location is excellent within easy walking distance of the centre of Collioure. The views of the hills from the balcony were stunning, the swimming pool and jacuzzi lovelyvand the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also a highlight. "We stayed one night in Lotus room with my daughter. The hosts are supper welcoming. Swimming pool is small but vey pleasant. The landscape around the house is a piece of art. 15 min drive to Colliour. Also a local ville Sorede is very close small picturesque and very French. Nott easy to find parking after 7 pm in Colliour. Parking on the property is easy. A few minor points for improvement. Bugs and mosquitos: bring a spray. And there was no shampoo and body wash in a fancy shower. Overall a...

"Stayed for 5 nights as a couple with no car. The hotel is beautifully designed very comfortable rooms plenty of space with balcony. Breakfast was an additional charge however the best breakfast we had choice wise during our stay in france. My husband required GF & this was accommodated no problem. The only advice for anyone staying without a car it is a good 25 minute walk to the beach & restaurants area however there are some nice restaurants near the hotel in the village within a10 min walk....
