"Great stay in central Yorkshire dales "

"Amazing beautiful location but unfortunately the house did not live up to expectations, especially considering the price. The house was damp and smelt strongly of damp. Some of the walls were very damp with bubbling of the paint and mould. There was mould around the bathroom plug and around the edge of the shower. The sofas had lost their springs and incredibly uncomfortable which wasn't helped with being made from hessian. The bed was very bouncy so when my husband rolled over I bounced...

"Sara and the whole team at the Coniston are simply amazing and so polite. The bedrooms are really special and so cosy especially the delux ones. The scenery and location is magical and the lake is wonderful. The food from breakfast to dinner is delicious. We have stayed here twice this year and it’s been delightful every time. "This place is brilliant. Tucked away in the middle of no where, is this gorgeous pub and restaurant. Lovely rooms, terric staff and pub food taken to top restaurant levels. Craft beers on tap with excellent choice. Enjoyed 3 days but need to go back soon."

"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."
