We arrived at 6 am from Cusco by bis. The staff arranged for a partial day/early check in. Comfy beds for an early nap followed by a delicious breakfast. Arranged 2 tours and we're extremely well taken care of.

We were very happy with our choice of the Sonesta Posadas. It is definitely a hotel designed for tourists and most everyone we met there was from the US or Europe. The only problem I had with it all was it was an extremely cold, cloudy day.
After arriving about 2 PM, on a freezing day, and after seeing my jetted tub in the window nook, all I wanted was the promised 24 hour available hot water that was promised.

The hotel is about a 15-20 min taxi ride from the main part of town. And have the address handy as the driver didn't know where it was right away. But it's on a main highway so he ended up finding it. Since it's so far out, we made friends with the taxi driver and he ended up being our driver while we were in Puno. I think we paid $25 soles (like $9 US) each way to town and then back.
