Ko Samet is my idea of paradise. Has options for everyone. You can stay in a $500 a night place if you want. And dine out at fine restaurants. Or you can rough it for $30 a night and buy a meal for $3. Up to you. All the same, the magic comes free.

I come back after 15 years away. So refeshing that this part of Thailand has not been spoiled by over-development.

Good
Koh Samet is beautiful and a nice getaway from Bangkok for two or three nights. Do yourself a favor and do not stay at the Samet Pavillion. It's way overpriced, dirty and no beach.
"The room was large and had good view. Very clean and always kept up. Staff were awesome. Internet was fast as well. The only minor negative was the mattress was a little to hard for my liking. Will definitely stay here again. "
"Very nice hotel and a great location close to everything you need the rooftop is absolutely incredible and it's what makes this place right to stay at. Also the staff they are incredibly friendly nice go out of their way to help you"
"Besides at the Sapphire, two bedroom villa, the room itself is very spacious, beautiful pool, and everything you need for a family stay.
If I had to say one thing is that it’s hard to control the air conditioner temperature in the room, and there are trash bins missing in the kitchen, other than that - an excellent hotel"
