Fabulous island with lively vibe. Easy to get around either by public transport or hire a moped. The beaches are stunning as is the National Park. Great choice of bars and restaurants; you can eat and drink well for very little cost.

We wish we'd spent more time in Ko Lanta ! The beach we spent the afternoon at, was clean and there were very few people on it. It did cost 130 baht to get into the park.

Worth getting a scooter as it makes getting around the island so much easier. Lots to see and do on Lanta and the island is quite big.

Ko Lanta is a beautiful island, but unfortunately it has changed so much over the last 20 years. It used to be so chilled with lots of independent bars / shacks on the beach, a fab place to backpack and travel. Now more busy tourist resort island

Ko lanta is more relaxed and quiet, bars may not be the most lively at nights but in terms of relaxation, dining, beaches, drives, and activities, it's a great spot.

Ko Lanta reminded me of Ko Samui 20 years ago before it became over developed. It won't stay like this for long so go there soon.

Our second visit in two years. Still a relatively unspoilt island with lots of original charm and culture.

Unfortunately they are repaving on the main street right now, but when done it will be great for all bike/vehicle types. Great restaurants in area.

Yes we will be back....our first visit but think it is quiet and relaxing
"We had an amazing time - overall excellent experience. We came to Layana Resort to relax and relax we did. The hotel staff was really friendly and attentious, the grounds were beautiful, the vibe was quiet and relaxed.
The spa was a real treat and we enjoyed the time we spent there getting massages and mani/pedicures.
The restaurant was great (especially the Thai dishes and special menus) and we had all our meals there for most of our stay. Eating by the sea never gets old :)
Sunsets were beautiful, and while the sea was not safe for swimming for half of our time there (very strong tides), the pool by the beach more than made up for it. "
"Lovely spot. We visited in the low season so there were less dining options available but certainly enough. My family enjoyed the family villa with pool."
