"We chose Hotel Melrose because it is one of the last historic hotels left in Grand Junction. It’s close to downtown shops and restaurants. Grand Junction is about 20-30 minutes from Palisades, Colorado which is a wonderful area to visit and taste a wide variety of wines. There are also a few distilleries in the area as well. "The property and location is fine. However, the double roundabout at the Interstate intersection is very dangerous, and confusing. You need to stay in the left lane to get to the hotel entrance; then swing to the right lane to avoid the Interstate entrance. All while trying to avoid vehicles entering the highway. The city and/or county transportation department needs to redo the intersection. "
