So my girlfriend and I went to Mariott and I must say, TOP HOTEL. the staff was superb, the breakfast was delicious, the pool even though small still closes late which is great here in Trinidad.
My only negative for my stay here is that from the rooms, you can hear all of the chatter in the coridoor. That said, ideal business hotel. Not so ideal for the noisy couple who don't want to be heard.
I love this hotel. It's in the middle of Port of Spain and San Fernando. The staff and the owner are very friendly. The comfort of this hotel is really nice. The main street to the hotel is very busy but once you are inside your room it's very quiet. This was my second stay here. The property is in the heart of San Juan, but the gps location is not accurate. We were able to call the owner who gave us actual directions to the property. Once we got there, everything improved. The owner contacted you in advance to confirm your stay, so that was nice. I had previously booked the property, and they cancelled it, and raised the rate. The neighborhood did not seem safe, and there were no restaurants in close proximity, so a car is needed. Recommend for those not wanting to stay in Port of Spain.
