I was raised in the area so probably biased but I've really enjoyed my recent visits to downtown Davenport. It's an underrated downtown. Lots of dining and nightlife options without being overrun by homeless folks like many larger cities.

Much within a few miles -- grocery, gas, shopping, etc. Most people I interacted with were friendly. A little concerned about hotel parking lot, but no problem. In town for a conference. Gas prices varied by 39 cents a gallon for like grade.

Seems like a very nice town. We only ate at a restaurant there and stayed at the hotel overnight but overall it looked like a very nice city and the people we met were very nice.

We were there for an antique motorcycle swap meet but one of my favorite BBQ places and my Wifes favorite diners is also there so that is a plus. Locals are great in Iowa.

Davenport and the Quad Cities has so much to offer without huge city expenses!
"4:30 breakfast was great because we had an early flight out and we didn't have time get something at the airport before boarding the plane. The employees at the hotel were very nice and seemed glad to welcome us to their hotel. Definitely a great place to stay!"
"Everything was great with the room. There was an awful smell in the lobby area and lots of fans like they had some type of water damage. This is still a wonderful place to stay. I will definitely continue to choose Homewood Suites as my home away from home."
"Just loved how clean everything was all around. We were greeted at the front desk with a smile and very helpful from employee. Quiet and safe would come here again. "
"The operators of this hotel are excellent. They do their job and there is no animus. Simply an excellent I paid for a service, they provide a service. No drama, a nice stay. "
