A small quaint unique quintessential Southern California beach town, clean, safe, and lots of great food and the art community here is thriving... I was surprised at how much art galleries were around, and the quality of art was good as well..

Love the town, the art shops, the food diversity, the beaches and walks, and the Pageant of the Masters show. Expensive parking around town but the free trolley makes it easy to get around. We parked the car on site and left it.

Laguna in general just had too many people and not enough space and parking.
"We spent two nights here while touring colleges. Location is incredible and loved the amenities! Beach chairs, games, volleyballs etc. the hot coffee and tea in the lobby was a welcome touch as well. The valets are awesome and so helpful. We will stay here again."
"I loved this motel. Front desk was friendly and knowledgable about things to do in Laguna with advice on directions and free transportation. The Tides Laguna was in walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants and Pageant of the Masters. I was upgraded to a second floor room which was spacious with a full kitchen and a quaint dining area with a full table and chairs and antique plates from various state on the wall. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, the rooms were immaculate with plenty of air conditioning if needed. Plus, there was free parking a must in this busy beach town. I will definitely, book another stay at The Tides Laguna Beach in the future. "

"Everything was great except they were not ready for our 4pm check-in because they let someone stay until 3pm for a late check-out, at least that's what they told us. The cleaning lady was still in the room until 4:30pm. She didn't have enough time to clean the wood floors, so the floors were dirty. My husband hates to complain, so I kept having to clean my feet. I'm not saying it was horribly-dirty, which is why I still gave them 5 stars.
The front staff were always friendly and helpful.
If you're a light sleeper, know that this place is on the very busy Pacific Coast Highway. Ask for a room in the back, but then again, there's a pool too."
