"There was good and bad, depending on your priorities. The property could absolutely use updating, but it seemed clean to me and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pool was really nice. The electricity went out each of the two days I was there, but never for long. It was nice to have food options at the pool, but the food was just okay. Breakfast was reasonably nice with quite a bit of variety. You can stay in nicer hotels downtown I think, but that’s a very different environment and they are way more expensive."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Vista do Lago. The logistics for picking us up in downtown Manaus and taking us to the lodge and returning us to the airport were well organized and everything went smoothly. Upon our arrival, we were warmly received before proceeding to our bungalow which had everything we needed (comfortable beds, air conditioning, towels, a fridge stocked with cold drinks that we could enjoy as needed and pay for at the end of our stay). The meals were wonderful. First of all, there was a lot of variety (including lots of delicious fish) to choose from. The fresh fruit and desserts were also yummy! But the chef also made special gluten-free carb options for my friend. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful and always stood ready to help. The excursions were very enjoyable and we appreciated having a mix of nature-based activities with getting a sense of how people in the village and surrounding areas live. During our stay, there were families with children who enjoyed the small pool. And we all enjoyed the hammocks in the common area. I would return there in a heartbeat!"
