This is a very real small town with friendly caring people facing some challenges. The river is what makes it special. The Hellgate jet boats take off from the bridge area and there is a park on the other bank. Small tent encampment adjacent there.

We came for the jet boats and had a blast. If you enjoy the outdoor experience Grants pass is great. You have lots of conveniences and the wilderness is not far .

There's a train that rolls through the middle of town about midnight honking its horn the whole way. I wont ask why. I got a good chuckle out of it but my sister was less than amused. Recommend noise sensitive folks find a different town, lol.

Grants Pass was much better than expected. There was some homeless activity, but that seems to be in every town large or small. The police were actually on top of it and with that being said, the town was still pretty clean.

Grants Pass is beautiful and has plenty of recreation opportunities. Would definitely visit again, but will likely stay at a different hotel.

Our opinion of the city is Great. The overbearing population of "Homeless" or displaced staying in your Motel is causing us to consider other options. it is noisy and busy in the parking lot way to late at night for a comfortable evening.

It was a cute little town a little confusing driving around one way three lanes going down. One way three lanes coming up on the other side. Once you kind get used to it. You will find yourself a little more comfortable with driving but a cute town.

Had dinner across the street at the Corvette, diner, great service, and a delicious burger
"The Sweet Breeze Inn was great in every way - very good value for the low price (best in Grants Pass, I believe) in that the rooms (we were in 2) were big enough, clean, and had nice TVs, microwaves, and small fridges. The latter came in handy as we had car trouble and had to extend our stay from 2 nights to 6. I ordered a large pizza one night and was able to put the rest in the fridge and heat it up the next day. There are also a DQ, Sizzler, and several food trucks within a few blocks if you have to walk like I did. The staff was all very nice and accommodating about my strange situation.
What I personally liked best was the bed - it was not too hard or too soft and was great for my bad back.
I definitely recommend the Sweet Breeze and will stay there again if I'm in that area.

"First off...WOW! The rooms are AAMMAAZZIINNGG!! It kind of gives off a homey vibe, meaning that it feels as if its an actual room inside a home). I love how the room is very big and open, the sink isnt in the bathroom, the bathroom has a window in there, and me, being a girl, really appreciates how theres a big body mirror. Its a great place all around. Check-in is a breeze. The owner and his wife are so friendly, extremely nice, and they do an exquisite job running, maintaining and keeping Sunset Inn very clean. "
"Weasku Inn is so lovely and charming, I wish I lived closer so I could stay more often! The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms and cabins are so cozy and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is always delicious and I love enjoying it out on the deck with a cup of coffee. The smores around the fire pit in the evenings is also so fun and such a nice added touch to the experience. I absolutely love this place and recommend to anyone driving through southern Oregon!"
"LOVE this place!!! Its super cute and the rooms are gorgeous! I could have sat on my patio overlooking the river all night. The free breakfast was decent. But my favorite part had to be the staff. Especially one of the managers who checked me in, George. George is an amazing and valuable asset to this hotel. He is attentive, funny, friendly and efficient. He made sure i knew all the activities going on in the area. Saved me a cookie when he was baking them and even checked in on me later on in the evening when he saw me outside just to see if everything met my expectations. I will be staying here everytime im in the area from now on!!"
"Absolutely just love it here. Staff does a wonderful job at keeping the rooms nice and clean, making sure you got whatever you need for your stay, and front desk is just amazing all around. "
