Wonderful history. Scenic area. Saw deer multiple places. We enjoyed the self-guided walking tour. The people at the visitors' center were knowledgeable and friendly. We ate at JJ's, the Tavern, Mamma Mia's, Greeko. They were all very good.

We came to hike a park in the area but it didn't work out. Then we found the Virgina Creeper Trail. We were able to rent bikes just a couple houses from the trail and we had a wonderful bike ride on the trail. It worked out great!

Abingdon is a wonderful small and very historic town. Great place to see a play, eat great food, walk and shop cute shops. We'll go back again, but stay in a different hotel. There are lots to choose from.

The local shop owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and service at Puerto Nuevo Fresh Mexican restaurant and the historic The Tavern was outstanding.

We went shopping downtown and the people that we talked with in many of the businesses were extremely nice. Unfortunately, we had a tire issue on the back of my truck where we picked up a nail and we went to the Firestone and they got us right in.

"Was on a Harley and thy allowed me and others to park near the entrance on the curb for security.
Felt relieved and slept with no worry. Breakfast was perfect as was the kitchen staff."
