Most of Summerville could be anywhere in the USA. It is dominated by chain stores and chain restaurants. That's convenient, but I might as well be home for that. However, Old Summerville is quaint and charming. Make sure to go there!

Just beware that traffic on SR 17 can be extremely heavy at times especially on a Saturday morning.

Nexton area around the hotel has a lot to offer. Coffee/donuts, lunch and dinner options as well as light shopping. All new development within the last several years.

Summerville is beautiful! Loved visiting. The hotel was awful. The minute we opened the door to our room, a horrible smell like the sewer engulfed us. The next morning there was a roach on the wall. Would not recommend staying at Quality Inn.

Coming from Florida, I really enjoyed the people. The majority were polite, courteous and there was a sense of family. Nothing like Florida 😐

Be prepared for some traffic during the work week. A lot of it is due to construction which will ultimately be a good thing.

I enjoyed my stay in Summerville, very beautiful. The only down fall was the traffic on N Main Street.
"Everytime I come to Charleston I stay at Hotel Indigo in Mt. Pleasant. Staff always great, rooms always clean. Only disappointment was their coffee. Was weak. lol. "

"Great place for families – we picked it not only for the location but because it had a very nice swimming pool which my kids loved. The outdoor pool amenities were great. Staff was great."
"This is a beautiful hotel. The amenities are terrific. The restaurant at the hotel is convenient and yummy. This is walkable to king street and close to everything! "
"This property is right in the heart of Old Town/French Quarter. Super close to the market, the pier, the Pineapple fountain and fun bars/restaurants 1 to 3 blocks away.
Do the Valet parking, so worth it. Would stay again."
