You might want to practice your swing at Salida Golf Club, a golf course located 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from central Salida. If Salida Golf Club doesn't quite scratch your golfing itch, Rocky Mountain Mini Golf, and Poncha Springs Disc Golf Course are also nearby.
Why not give yourself a treat with a trip to Mt. Shavano Fish Hatchery, one of the family attractions located 1.2 mi (1.9 km) from central Salida. If you have fun at Mt. Shavano Fish Hatchery, you'll love Rocky Mountain Mini Golf, located nearby.
You can spend an afternoon browsing the exhibits at Salida Museum during your trip to Salida. Stroll along the riverfront or experience the area's festivals.
You can get tickets for a performance at SteamPlant Theater and Event Center during your trip to Salida. Wander the riverfront or discover the area's mountain views.
Raft the Arkansas River's whitewater rapids or fly-fish in its Gold Medal waters for an adrenaline rush. Soak in nearby Cottonwood Hot Springs, then explore the vibrant art scene and historic downtown's boutiques and eateries.
I always end up coming back to Salida, nice small town with good restaurants and siting on the restaurant patios next to the Arkansas river watching the rafters go by is the best. Salida has everything you will need for summer and winter activities.

Salida is a cute little river town with rich history. It became sort of an art gallery and consignment shop town with decent food and family-oriented, mellow vibe. Now developers are building and building. See Salida soon before they ruin it.

Walkable downtown area about 10 minutes walk from the motel. Lots of fun restaurants and shops. Every person was extremely friendly. The river is about a two minute walk across the street. There are great walking trails along it.

We go there for skiing at Monarch and have enjoyed several local restaurants & breweries. Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub, Boathouse Cantina, and Soulcraft Brewing are among our favorites.

"Staff was extremely accommodating after a power outage resulted in a booking that shouldn’t have been allowed to go through. They were amazing in accommodating a lake checkout and went above and beyond."
