Bury St Edmunds was an interesting place. The cathedral and abbey gardens were beautiful and interesting to explore (clean, free toilets too). Interesting shops and market, which we would have liked to explore further but didn't have the time.

This was my first visit. Historically interesting, beautiful Abbey gardens. The town has a very pleasant atmosphere. The Apex is a great venue. The art exhibition in the cathedral was a bonus.

Saturday traffic is dense, but the town centre is quiet. The abbey gardens are nice. If you want to use the large cattle market car park it is advisable to have the RingGo app pre-installed.

"I had forgotten to book the hotel I planned to stay in, and so had to quickly find a replacement on the day as where I was planning to stay wasn't available.
What a result, this was half the price, incredible value, a decent breakfast for the price, and it was honestly faultless. The room was amazingly comfortable and spotlessly clean and I will definitely stay again. For a one night stay on business it was very good indeed. "
"Huge comfortable bed, standard king room was a great size, best of all zero noise outside the room, not a sound. Great choice of breakfast food, all very fesh, reasonable price. Parking on site and a bus stop accross the road takes you into central Cambridge or station."
