Learn more about Driffield

Driffield is well-known for its attractions such as Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House. This welcoming city has something for everyone including bars as well as sights like Millennium Garden and Tophill Low Nature Reserve. All are within a rural setting.

St Leonard's Church, Scorborough, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The estate church at Scorborough, rebuilt in the 19th century by John Loghborough Pearson and paid for by James Hall of the nearby Scorborough Hall. Scorborough was the seat of the Hotham family until Sir John Hotham was captured at Beverley in 1645 on his way back to Scorborough and beheaded on Tower Hill along with his son. Sir John had denied King Charles I entry to the city of Hull but was tried and executed by the Parliamentarians after apparently switching his allegiance and plotting to hand the city over to the Royalists.
