I came down to race in the St Ives Bay Celtic Cup, a canoe, SUP and ski race, run by Ocean Sports Centre from Carbis Beach. Glenn runs a great watersports business to get people out on the water from the beach. It's a great way to explore the area.

Beautiful town with quaint, narrow streets, nice boutiques and nearby beaches. Good selection of restaurants. Doable by bus/train but easier by car; there is a Hop-On Hop-off tour but you will have to be organised at each stop. Lots of hills though!

It is hilly and the walk down from (& back to!) the hotel is steep but there is a handy park and ride from a car park at the top end of the town to get you down the hill if you do brave the narrow lanes by taking your car into the town.

Busy, overloaded and yet beautiful to visit. Sit down dining was full. Cornish pasty always a hit though
"Amazing hotel clean, fresh, rooms are lovely, nice size and complementary tea and coffee and mini fridge stocked, Jan the owner was lovely very welcoming, car parking is limited on site but that didn’t bother us we parked in a side street near the hotel, lovely location, shop few steps away, Carbis bay hotel and beach literally 5/10 minutes walk but mind the hill on the way back up, you can drive down but parking can be expensive for the day and limited spaces.
Definitely return."
"Beautiful place, nice to walk around and breakfast was good. Nice view from room. Overall good stay. would stay again if we saw a good deal (price with breakfast incl).
Room should have had a fridge for the price paid and heated towel rack didn't heat up, only negative."
"We asked for a bit more with this local and hotel and got it. It is a nicer place for a higher level stay. The front staff were obsequious and pleasant. "
"It is a luxury B&B, quality fittings, nice extra touch’s like cake and Prosecco, fresh milk and water in the fridge, quiet, private, parking available, close to beach and train. Really relaxed and enjoyable experience. "
