I love coming back to Altoona to visit. Lots of hiking and nature and other things to do for the family, especially in the warmer weather. Safe place compared to the area I live in now.

This was our first time in Altoona traveling through headed to Erie and it was a nice area. We ate at Jack & George's for dinner and it was a popular spot. Food was delicious and service was great as well.

The shopping mall looks like it might be on its last legs many stores were closed. The rest of Altoona had shops within driving range. The golfing was disappointing the restaurants plentiful.

Like most small cities in America, Altoona has plenty to offer for food, dining, shopping & entertainment. I would be cautious walking about after dusk.

It's an older PA town, but it has things to do and places to go. Friendly people.
