Lively city, great food, beaches and tours to do. Found getting around difficult. Traffic is insane, hard to cross the street, a bit stressful to walk around on main streets. Taxis are expensive, buses are not really an option for tourists.

The town was great. Super market for other things we wanted that were not included at the resort (alcohol, extra beach towels, etc) was very convenient. Easy to navigate around the streets to sight see and experience all the city had to offer.

Puerto Plata is a beautiful city and there's a lot to enjoy on the outdoors. Experiences should not be based o a single bad experience as there are many other places and things to do. For all tourists out there just have your list of discarded places

"The place was beautiful and comfortable. I had a family situation which had nothing to do with the property. The staff went out of their way to help with any issue we were facing. Though they were young, their maturity and professionalism were above and beyond."
"My sister and I were very impressed with the facility. The restaurants were lovely, food was great. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The room/apt was perfect after our long day of travel.
Thank you everyone"
"Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach.
Staff from main entrance, front desk, waitress and workers around the property are very friendly, respectful and welcoming."
"A lot of walking required or wait for shuttle bus. No night life with club and music. Not much to do besides swim. Didn't like the beach big rocks inside the water. "
