The main part of the city reflects the history - particularly the starkness of architecture during communist rule. The old part of the city is quaint and beautiful and well worth several really good walks. Warm friendly people - well worth a visit.

This city really took me by surprise, especially with regards to the food and drink scene. Be sure to book a wine tasting in the dark in Old Town Bratislava, then get a table at Flagship for a €5 litre of beer and some delicious dumplings!

Beautiful city, friendly and walkable for all of the tourist areas. Reasonable prices for eating out even during Christmas Market season.
"Clean quiet room. Good value compared to other cities. I didn’t eat there or use the wifi. Would stay there again. Comfortable bed. Hotel in good central location "
"I chose this hotel based on the fact it’s so close to the train station, and also a short walk to the historic downtown. We were on our way by train from Prague to Budapest and stopped for one night. It was very convenient, and really nice to experience Bratislava. I recommend this highly for anyone travelling by train between Prague and Budapest. The hotel itself was really nice, with a bar and a restaurant. "
