"This mountaintop venue above the clouds is extraordinary. The only way to arrive here is through the cog-rail train or the gondola. The crowds without hotel reservations are there only during the day but leave on the last trip down around 5:30 so the mornings and evenings are quiet. Hiking trails abound. The restaurant serves excellent food. The rooms are basic but clean and with everything you need. "

There are multiple stops along to routes up and down the onto stop and hike or eat at a restaurant. Lucerne is beautiful and a great place to walk around and grab lunch. "The Mandarin Oriental-Lucerne was paradise. It is centrally located, the room was very large and spacious. The view was spectacular! I have nothing bad to say about my experience."

"We had a great stay at the hotel. Nice restaurant and close to other amenities in Kerns. Parking was good too. Only issue was the church opposite ringing its bells every hour until late but only a small gripe. Otherwise would be happy to stay again in future "

"We loved our stay at this hotel. We had the family junior suite which was plenty of room for the four of us. The hotel is in a very lively location. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, was close to the river and not a far walk from all of the tourist spots. Was directly across the street from the bus stop to take you to Mt. Pilatus. The front desk staff was lovely and my kids loved the fun decor and the free photo booth!"
