The room was really nice and the breakfast (went for the full english) was delicious, all the more so by the use of local products.
The owners were very friendly and chatty and made you feel so welcome.

"A traditional hotel stay in a great location in Birdlip, right next to the Cotswold Way. There is a really pleasant walk direct from the car park around fields or through some woodland next to the Cotswold way that offers incredible views towards Gloucester.
The room itself was fine, with some aspects requiring some modernisation, as some areas around the property could do with some maintenance and a refresh. However, I always like to stay here as the food is good and staff friendly enough. ...

"Stunning location, fantastic property, it’s like you’ve gone back 200 years in a wonderful way. Authentic wood panelling, original features - a real testament to how it was built. Plenty of modern features for creature comfort though.
