"Location was excellent. Very clean room and great staff. Breakfast was substantial with many hot dishes you would expect to find in a restaurant for lunch or dinner. Given the choice, we would have preferred a simpler breakfast option of cereal and orange juice. A short train or taxi ride would take you to the Taipei City Mall. It is huge, All underground and complete with a high end department store spread over 2 floors. The food hall is incredible with excellent choices and very reasonable...

"I enjoy staying at this hotel so much so that I keep going back when in Taipei. I’m not even exactly sure why that is the case. I just find the atmosphere very calm and comfortable, and the room is super quiet. The staff are nice, and the location is quite good although you do have to walk a bit from the metro. It’s a nice walk mostly through a park though! "

"We chose the Greatt Hotel for its location - 1 block from the Shilin Night Market (one of the best in Asia) and close to the Shilin train station - straight shot to CKS Memorial and convenient 15-minute bus to National Palace Museum. It is a bit spartan, but the rooms are clean and the bathroom was great. Reception was very nice and useful but did not speak English - the use of Google Translate solved all problems. I definitely recommend this hotel."
