"I loved staying at Hotel Osteria Della Pista. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the dinner was excellent! This hotel is the perfect place to recover from a long flight from MXP or to rest before flying out. The train station is a 5-10 minute walk away."

"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured. It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving. Rooms were not air conditioned but you do get a oscillating fan! Get a room with a view and you won't be disappointed "
