"Steve and Claire are amazing, it was a pleasure staying at The Clifton for 2 nights, perfect location to the pier, seafront, pubs and bars. Rooms very clean and tidy, everything you need. Breakfast was brilliant, very accommodating with food choice changes. Cost was more than reasonable and the far better than expected for the price. Comfy beds, quiet area and we slept brilliantly. Ours hosts were so friendly and provided a welcoming atmosphere, we have family in Paignton and will 100 percent...

"A lovely warm welcome from Cathy room basic and dated but there are plans to update the whole hotel to bring it into line with what people expect but I really hope they stay true to the legacy Cathy and her husband have taken 38 years to build. Nostalgic is the best word I can use took me back to my childhood and my Nans B& B days in Southend. Great beach for the family and a Wetherspoon just a few minutes walk if you need a hot basic dinner but try Millys at the harbour for a more traditional...

"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."
