"There was a black ring around the tub, thick dust on the headboard numerous dead bugs on the window ledge. No Kleenex in the hotel so they offered me a roll of paper towel! I had to go to the desk for toilet paper and instead of them bringing it to the room I had to wait for him to get it."

"It’s inexpensive. Staff (probably owners and family?) really helpful. The Motel is fairly old and well used, but the two rooms we had were scrupulously clean. Plus side of age of property - for lovers of mid / late twentieth century kitsch architecture - we’re the fabulous one piece bath / shower mouldings. There is an excellent Subway, an excellent grill / diner, and a small general store all within a couple of minutes walk of the Motel. It’s great for the money, and staying in a ‘traditional’ style Motel added to our road trip."
