"Large clean room with tea and coffee, comfortable bed. Lovely outside area with a view and very quiet. Fantastic evening meal and I’m sure breakfast will be too. We took our dog and did a great walk straight from the place and saw this hot air balloon!"

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. "Just brilliant. The rooms are in an excellent refurbishment of an ancient house in the centre of the medieval city. Communication was excellent - we loved the films describing where to find the parking and the entrance. The parking is free and close so please dont let that put you off staying here."

I didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and I wanted something light, so can’t comment on the food. The view from the restaurant looked amazing. "Amazing. Fabulous property, great facilities including pool. Lots of parking. Excellent customer service from the get-go. On site restaurant was absolutely outstanding. Food amazing and service could not be faulted. Great breakfast too! If satnav takes you to narrow white gate, it’s difficult entry angle. Keep going round the hotel to wider gate and easier access round other side! Reception is at the back of hotel."
