The motel is old but rooms have been refurnished, ... .new fridge, kitchen appliances, carpet, tv, bed, couch.... and were spacious and comfortable. Location is great...good restaurant next door, short walk to town, bus route. Price is very reasonable for what you are getting.. there is even guest laundry with washing and dryer facilities available for $4 per cycle. "

"A generously sized bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Sleeping space, lounge and kitchen had microwave, oven etc but a larger bin to separate general rubbish and recyclable would have nice. Still, apart from the traffic noise, no real complaints since the room was a bargain"

"We had a brief but great stay. Everything was clean, fresh, and spacious. The best bed we had slept in in our 17 day trip. Parking was easy , the location a surprise - as it was in a strip of shops, but beside a lake . the restaurant was lovely and also a surprise- not your average motel fare. We had a very enjoyable stay ."

"The park is a 5 minute walk to shops and eateries. It is only a couple of blocks away from the Te Awa bike track which makes for nice walking. The unit was well equipped and comfortable"
