"The breakfast buffet definitely poor for a 5 star hotel, I was expecting fresh juices, only had pork, same 3 fruit options everyday and dry pastries. The beds were the worse, soo low, very uncomfortable and they make noises. The shower was tiny as well argh. luxurious hotel. Asked to change room as it didn’t match the booking spec (no sofabed), sorted helpfully and quickly by exceptionally good staff (Yanis & Elena). Great pool area and near to the beach. A bit off the beaten track but enough facilities nearby – supermarket, car hire, tavernas. Easy to catch a cheap and frequent bus from Gerani to Chania. "We had the most amazing stay at Asterion!! From we set foot at the hotel the staff was friendly, helpful and sweet. We were always met with smiles and everyone was happy to help with our questions. There is a sense of family but also professionalism within the staff that makes it a really special environment to be in. The rooms are big, clean and stylish and the grounds are beautifully well kept and feel very luxurious
