Retro Inn at Mesa Verde
10/10 Excellent
"We crashed in the Woodstock Suite and had a far-out time. Everything was clean and carried that groovy retro vibe just right. I haven’t slept on a waterbed in years, and it was a real blast from the past. Staff communication was solid—totally cool folks.
A few notes for future travelers and the management cats:
The room didn’t have any regular chairs—just a couple of folding ones in the closet. The floor pillows were very hip and mellow, but not ideal if you dig a little more support or have mobility issues.
The property seems pretty wheelchair-friendly overall, but the pillows near the entrance make the first step inside a bit tricky for anyone rolling or walking with assistance.
The front desk closes at midnight. They’ll set up a lockbox for late arrivals—just give them a heads-up so you’re all in sync.
All in all, it was a cool, comfy stay with good vibes. We’d totally book it again."
"I wish we had this room for our stay in San Diego. This double queen room is VERY spacious with a walk in shower. Everything is clean…even the remote came in a bag stating it was clean. The only minor issue was the lack of water pressure in the shower. But other than that my family and I are very satisfied with the establishment."
"Wonderfull service at the front office. Recommended a great restaurant and even went the extra mile of calling them to check how busy they were. I will say their AC/Heater fan is too loud."
