Recently renovated, every aspect of the property and design choices are exceptional. The dinner menu creations were inventive and delicious. However, our room No. 36 was without WiFi. (“Hotel WiFi not connected to internet.”) And you cannot adjust the room temperature using the thermostat. A+ regardless.

Hotel and staff are excellent can't do enough to make your stay pleasant . Rooms are well decorated will stay again

Outstanding architecture.

You are living in a structure with tons of history. It is updated to a point but wants to always maintain its history. Quaint rooms that tell a story and transport you back in time. Breakfast was great and staff very accommodating.

Starting with the front desk staff it was a wonderful stay. We only stayed one night but the room was an upgrade due to some switches and it was beautiful. The old woman at the desk that night was so kind and welcoming that we made friends immediately and I would go back to that hotel anytime I was in town!

Just awesome. Loved the rooms with the big windows, loved the hosts, awesome breakfast. Very helpful-for example we arrived early before our room was ready. They let us leave our luggage come in and out. Use the bathroom whatever we need until the room is ready.

Quiet, convenient location. Staff was excellent…check-in was super easy and provided information for next day transportation to cruise ship. Restaurant staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

Public area welcoming. Quick check in. Nice comfortable room. Quite large. Comfy bed. Plastic on bottom of shower door needed a good clean as did around the taps but the rest of the room/bathroom was spotless. The desk had quite a few chips. Nice meal in the restaurant in the evening with great service. Good breakfast

Came in on a cruise ship. At 9:30 am we arrived by cab, not knowing if we would have to wait until 2:00 check in. They actually checked us in upon arrival and we were able to relax and not worry about dragging our luggage around. I would have given an excellent rating except for the carpeting that was quite stained in our room. The bar/restaurant was great with good food and beer. Saved us from going out.

We booked this hotel for a two night stay - pre cruise. We are still in awe of our stay here at The White Star Tavern Hotel. From the moment we walked through the door right through to when we left for our cruise 2 days later the staff, Bridgit, Emma, Becca, Mina, Jack, Mack, Kyle, everyone was just amazing, friendly, professional, fun, helpful....The Best!! Everything about this place is great - from the bistro to the bar to the rooms. The staff were friendly and accommodating beyond expectation. Highly recommend this place if you ever visit Winchester.
